The impact of the health microinsurance M-FUND on the utilization of health services among migrant workers and their dependents in Thailand: A case-control study

In 2021, Andrea Konig from the University of Heidelberg in Germany, conducted an independent case-control study on the impact of the M-FUND project, in Tak province, Thailand, as part of a PhD program.

There were 3 components in the study assessment:

  • impact on access to healthcare services

  • impact on financial hardship for households

  • impact on the management of clinical conditions.

The first component is the object of an article published in the Journal of Migration and Health, titled "The impact of the health microinsurance M-FUND on the utilization of health services among migrant workers and their dependents in Thailand: A case-control study".
